Organising a gender reveal means planning a party whose central moment hinges on a secret: the baby's sex, known to just one person until the reveal. Handing the organising to a trusted friend or relative and keeping the preparations well away from the parents protects the surprise right to the end.
When and how should you organise a gender reveal?
Before the scan

Choose someone you trust. Ask the sonographer to write the result down and seal it in an envelope, which you then hand over unopened.

Set the date and the guest list
