What's the planning timeline for a hen party or stag do?
4 months before
Put the group together
Ask the guest of honour or their partner for the guest list. Create the event in surprise mode and name two or three co-organisers.
3 months before
Vote on the date and budget
Put two or three weekends and a budget range to a poll. A modest format that everyone can join beats a getaway that leaves people out.
2 months before
Book accommodation and activities
Lock in the accommodation and the headline activity as soon as the date is set. Note who pays for what upfront so the sums are fair at the end.
